Coco Palms sale in the works

Like the Kauai Stouffer Waiohai Beach Resort, the famous Coco Palms Resort has been for sale since the 1992 hurricane hit, destroying much of the Kauai hotel property.

Sources say the hotel is being sold to Lincoln LLC of Southern California.

Bill Morton, owner of Coco Palms, declined to comment on the status of a sale and the identity of the potential buyer, except to say a sale may be close to completion.

Whether there is a sale depends on several factors, he says.
